Alpha Bulletin 7 Season XIV
Hi Alphas,
Welcome to Alphaday 7, Season XIV. This is the half-way point of the season and we’re in full flow with our regular activities and enjoying the contact with like-minded scribblers. Our personal writing is bound to benefit from the impetus provided by regular exposure to the writerly pleasures we share with fellow members.
With that in mind we’re ready for another Alphaday which I hope will satisfy your expectations. Today’s agenda is as follows:
- This bulletin from me
- The results of the journalism challenge from Sally
- The entries for the nostalgia challenge from Suzanne
- The call for contributions to the Open Page 2 collation
- Alpha Log news from Sally
- A Writers’ Read prompt from Morgen
That looks full of promise, doesn’t it? I’m sure there’s plenty there to give you ideas and spur you into action.
General news.
I’ve never had so many molehills in my garden as there are at the moment. My lawn is puffed up and splat open and totally ruined. When I peer across the fence into the field behind I realise that my little molehill problem is peanuts compared with what’s going on there. Yet neither the owner nor the two resident horses seem particularly perturbed by the situation.
That’s my metaphor for the day. I’ll stop making mountains out of my molehills, but at the same time I can’t help thinking about extremes because there really are some huge mountains out there amongst the molehills.
