An attempt to write a complete novel between all 15 members.<\/p>\n

Circular Book<\/a><\/h1>\n

Begun: Alpha Year 2 (2005\/2006)<\/h2>\n

Each member contributes a single chapter based around a character, but including the character from the previous chapter so that the stories read in a circular fashion – it doesn’t matter where you start in the book, you can still read round to the beginning again.<\/p>\n

Cliffhanger<\/a><\/h1>\n

Each participating member writes a story which ends on a cliffhanger. The next member has to pick up on the cliffhanger and write the next chapter… which again ends with a cliffhanger. And so on.<\/p>\n

A passage of writing is alternately expanded and contracted by each writer – leading to a “Chinese whispers” effect in which the final passage of writing bears little resemblance to the original!<\/p>\n
