We\u2019re still cranking up the Alpha machinery and\nwe\u2019ll have to wait till next Alphaday before we\u2019re in full flow. We\u2019ve started\nwell and there was plenty to get us going in our opening session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our\ntrusted Alpha team has been busy preparing for Alphaday 2. Every Alpha member\nis included in this \u2018team\u2019 as their contributions by way of challenge entries,\nLog news and discussions about holiday reading make up the workings of Alpha.\nSome, however, have worked a bit harder than the rest in planning the next\nsteps. They have helped putting together this Alphaday agenda, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alphaday 2, Season\nXVI agenda:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This\n     bulletin from me<\/li><li>The\n     collated entries for the Moral Dilemma challenge from Sarah<\/li><li>The\n     brief for Ch.2 from Ros<\/li><li>Log\n     news from Phil<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All\nthis will land in your in-box in the course of the day and I expect you\u2019ll find\nit quite absorbing. If there\u2019s anything you\u2019d like to comment on, we\u2019re\nexceedingly interested in hearing what you have to say. Alphaday is our get-together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alpha news:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nothing\nspecial has been brought to my notice since last time. I hope Rick is settling\nin well and beginning to feel at home in Alpha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nLog will bring us the real news that we\u2019re all interested in and Ros has been\nupdating our web site\u2019s members\u2019 page. It\u2019s looking far more lively than\nbefore. There are still some gaps to be filled and it\u2019d be great to have a full\nset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>General news:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018What\nis the world coming to?\u2019 Sometimes I love teasing Alphas with the most banal\nclich\u00e9s that I can come up with. There\u2019s plenty of entertainment value in the\nnews these days and I can\u2019t help a certain fascination for the truly\ncringe-worthy parts \u2026 and the truly uplifting parts like Greta, the modern day\nJoan of Arc who can look daggers at those she disapproves of. Here\u2019s another\nclich\u00e9: \u2018A picture is worth a thousand words\u2019 and the photographer who took\nthat photo of her must be quite pleased with themself. Photography is an\ninteresting art form and I recently admired the winning photos in the Comedy Wildlife\nAwards.
