We\u2019ll have another meeting in a fortnight to sum up our achievements and our faults \u2013 as is our wont before the season closes down. I\u2019ve put together the list of questions that I\u2019d like you to answer and we\u2019ll discuss your replies at our final get-together which will also be our end of season party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So the agenda for this Alphaday is very reduced \u2013 for obvious reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This bulletin from me<\/li><li>The results and feedback for The Open Page, ed. 3, season XVI<\/li><li>A questionnaire to assess your evaluation of Season XVI<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any personal news you\u2019d like to share with the group, feel free to let us know about it. The next Log news etc. is a long way off and who knows what the world will be like come September?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact we\u2019re still suspended in a vacuum of uncertainty. We\u2019ve always accepted it as logical to take a long break along with academic term times because most members have plans for the coming months that don\u2019t include sitting down to do Alpha work and remembering deadlines. Planning holidays in the present situation is tricky \u2026 will-nigh impossible. So much that we\u2019ve relied on to keep us occupied and culturally well fed has been cancelled. Perhaps we should keep in touch informally until September? We don\u2019t need to cancel Alpha communication. I\u2019ve included the question in the survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime I\u2019ll leave you with this quotation from Salman Rushdie which I accidentally came across today.
